New door speakers w/ JBL Synthesis

After doing a bit of searching, I still have a few questions about the JBL Synthesis audio system.

I have a 2006 4runner and im thinking about upgrading the door speakers. I'm not interested in replacing the head unit or anything like that, just the speakers in the door. I'm wondering, has anyone done this? If so, was there much improvement over stock? Lastly, any tips i should watch out for in case i decide to do this? Thanks :bigok:

I'll have to keep an eye on this thread. I've thought about upgrading the speakers too, but wasn't sure if it'd be a drastic improvement that was worth the money invovled. I'm not looking at upgrading the headunit either. It works fine for my needs.

Just by replaceing those mid-tweet speakers so far in my door panels has made a HUGE improvement for me. I just can't wait now to get the rest of the speakers replaced and do a total system upgrade.

I'll probably give it a try in a month or two when the weather gets a little warmer. I'll post some updates when when I do
