New Engine, No Start....

Hey guys, Im a new member to the forum, but have been gaining knowledge about t4r's on here for about a year. I recently bought a 1999 T4R and replaced the engine with one out of a 1996 model (30,000 miles). I heard it run before it was pulled and have documents showing the miliage. My problem is that now it has been transplanted into the 1999 it will not run :bash:, so the question is, will a 99 computer work with a 96 engine, and if so, what other things could it be. All filters have been changed, it is getting fuel, all plugs and wires have been replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The '99s have different MAF sensors than a '96. I believe the ECU is different too. Did you re-use the MAF from your '99?

well if your not getting spark, then check your grounds and codes. More than likely you missed a connection somewhere. Just need to find out where which involves wire tracing.

Thats what it sounds like to me as well. And I'll also be the guy that asks if you checked all of your fuses?

BTW Bamf, I love your sig.
