Buying new exhaust manifolds? Any time you are doing work when connecting to the block or heads, you should use new gaskets.

You would only need new gaskets if you purchase headers like Kevin said. If you are buying a borla/magnaflow/gibson exhaust, they are from the CAT back and there aren't any gaskets used at all. They bolt directly to the flange on the backside of the catalytic converter.

I reused the stock exhaust with the magnaflow. Truck had about 25k at the time and hasn't presented a problem. To be safe you should probably use new ones but I'm a gambling man.

thanks for the reply. I got my answer in that I don't need gaskets for a cat back system. Thanks for all the responses. I can't wait for my exhaust. I just like wrenching
