I have a 95 3.0 4runner. my muffler is rusting out and needs to be replaced. i have never done exhaust work my self but i would like to. what muffler should i get. performance is nice, but i have to make cost a priority. something decent that i can install w/o welding. also, my cat doesn't seem to be leaking, but is the same age as muffler so will likely need to be replaced at some point too. thanks for any help.

You can't add a muffler without welding it.

If your muffler is welded to your exhaust you would more than likely need to weld another one in. Slip fit connections with clamps can be loosened up and replaced with a muffler of the same size.
