Question about 255s.

Im looking into the 255/80/17s and was wondering what kind of mods will need to be done. im trying to avoid a BMC but i dont mind trimming.

insight from anyone running this size would be greatly appreciated!

You'll be fine with the 255/80/17. No trimming need or cutting. I run LT255/80/17 on the Cooper ST Maxx with no issues of rubbing nor do I need to trim/cut anything. I'm lifted to 2.5" on Kings w/ Total Chaos UCAs BTW.

What rims are the tries mounted on?



My tires were bought new and mounted on the stock TRD/ORP rims and have 16k miles without a rebalance.

Stock SR5 rims, stock size tires, no spacers.

007, apologies in advance for all of the questions. Have you taken these to the snow? How do they perform? I recently read a review on these tires, and the reviewer was dissatisfied with the snow performance.

This is my input although it is not from personal experience.

It is supposed to be a good snow tire, on par with KO2’s. It does have generous siping and the 3 snowflake symbol.
