Hello, everyone. I'm Samantha. I've been dreaming of 4Runners since I was 16, and I finally convinced my husband to buy me one last month. He even traded in one of his cars for it - that's how much he loves me. I convinced him that his Scion was too small for our little family [3+pitbull], and that buying a 4Runner would remedy the issue. Issue remedied and wife supremely happy!!

I am in lo-ove with my 2004 4Runner. We insisted on 4WD and had to drive all the way to Raleigh to get this one. Any reason dealers are so intent on convincing us that nobody really needs a 4x4? Other than the fact that most dealers around here sell mainly 2wd models, of course... Also, we had initially thought black [I always wanted a black '95], but are very happy with silver.

I'm looking forward to some low-key mods. Rockrails/sliders, 1.25" lift [give or take 1/4"] and possibly a steel bumper.

My husband just looks way too pleased with himself for getting it stuck, bellied out and running-boards-deep in mud. [The mud on Catfish Lake Road is vicious.]

We did the same right before our daughter was born! Ha (She's 19 months old now.) She always wanted a 4Runner, as well as myself. I just added a few mods over the past couple of weeks....

So funny that we all had the same idea about getting 4Runners. =) Our daughter is 15 months.

We're @ Cherry Point.
