Hey guys new here, currently stationed in Jacksonville, Florida. Bought my runner shortly after getting down here after selling a half backed Samurai that I had set up for rock crawling. Upon discovering that there aren't any rocks in Florida I sold the Sami and bought what I had been wanting for a while, a 4runner. Settled on a nice one with it's own agenda, a "know a guy who built it" background and a short list of problems.
So here is my 86 with what i was told a dealer installed lift. It has a tag in the door jam stating it was modified by JOYSERVCO. Engine was bored .040 over, crane cam .429I/.442E, unknown long tube header, 2 1/2" exhaust through a 40 series that I cannot wait to get rid of sitting on 33" BFG All Terrains.
I've owned the truck for 2 years and only been in possession of it for a year due to it breaking down in the dead of winter on a road trip to Kansas. After running the gauntlet of repairs and adding the essentials (good stereo/speaker set up). I have tracked down a brush guard and added a safari rack with lights.
And now the pics
When i went to get it:
After taking off the grandpa running boards and redoing trim:
