NEW!!! STS TURBO FOR V6 & V8

I know this has been posted...but here's some more info on the STS Turbo Option offered by Perf. Products.

STS TURBO SYSTEMS
The Turbo replaces the muffler...

The kit comes with a sh*t load of stuff including FMU, Walbro high-flow fuel pump, Garrett Turbo, TiAL wastegate, K&N filter, full HPC coated tubing and uses factory hangers. Install in 4-6hours with common hand tools. No welding, cutting or under hood modifications.

Results:
Tacoma's V6 = 224 RWHP @ 4lbs of boost.
Tundra V8 = 300 RWHP

Tacoma 3.4L V6 = $4,090.95Kit
Tundra 4.7L V8 = $4,490.95Kit

Me and a few other people on the site have been dealing with STS and they are saying they don't yet have the turbo kit. If its on Perf Products web site they might have things mixed up.

Let me know, look at the post on here titled Turbo charging a 4th gen, I actually recommended STS to the gentleman.

If they have it for the 8 it wouldn't be a bad kit, and it wouldn't take to long to retrofit it to the six either.

Click on the link that I have in the post....that's directly from the Performance Products Catalog that I got yesterday.

It lists the Tacoma V6 and the Tundra V8...not really 4Runner V8...but its the same engine right? 4.7L?

Maybe the tubing and stuff was design for the Tundra specifically and not the 4Runner?

I'll try to call PerfProd tomorrow and talk to someone.

Turbo for V8 4Runner

I emailed the company and they replied that there is no system for the V8 4Runner at this time. I wish there was. Good Luck.

If you look at the other post, I talked with the guys and they said next year.

However, all of the stuff for the tundra would be the same for the v8 crowd, however, they will have to come up with different return pipes fro the turbo to the engine, thats it, it shouldn't be a huge problem, the 05 vvti on the 8 might be though.

I will keep in touch with STS, and i always get the new Perf Products books.

It will come out, but it is a matter of time.
