New from San Diego

Hi everyone, I just picked up a 1988 4Runner sr5 and figured I should join. It's my first 4runner but not my first Toyota. I also have a 93 2wd Pickup with a long travel kit and deaver f67 springs in the rear that I built. Plans for the 4runner are to keep it simple by putting better shocks (maybe fox 2.0's), better torsion bars, Chevy 62" springs or deaver mini pack, manual hubs, tube bumpers, and maybe build a uniball upper arm. It's quite a change from the bare-bones pickup, since it's power everything and fully optioned. I'll post pictures shortly.

Thanks, hopefully I can get the 4runner on the road soon. I'd really like to go on a trail run with you guys. I'm new to 4x4 stuff so it would be fun.
