New Front Brakes - More fade.

Had the fronts done on the original breaks at about 83k fronts only. Sensed a fade which is increasing. There was no change in the depth of the parking break either after new brakes put on. Backs are at about 70% per the check.

Kinda odd that they are fading now?

Any ideas welcomed.

Describe the service completed on brakes front and rear, full rotor and pads changed, or just pads, did the service tech bleed your brakes?

What pads did you get changeover too, metallic, semi metallic, ceramic, toyota oem?

Some things to check, firmness of brake pedal, if its soft, then I would inspect for leaks, ensure the brake fluid is full as well.

What do you mean by fade? Typically brake fade occurs from over heating the pads and rotors. In that scenario you have good stopping power and as the materials over heat the braking power starts to go away regardless of the force you apply. Is that what you are experiencing?

As I press down I can feel the stopping power decrease and I must apply more force.

If brake fluid wasn't flushed, I recommend it be done as soon as possible.

How many days has it been since the brake job? Has it become any better as time passes?

Getting a little worse each week. It been about 5 weeks. I will ask them to flush again and re check the line. Thanks. Taking it in 8am Tuesday.

its possible that there is an air bubble somewhere in the brake line,eather you ran out of brake fluid and just added after it sucked the air in,or the bleding was done wrong.

Just got back. They road tested it and could not repeat what I described but they tested the hydraulics the lines for leaks and the pressure. Everything was normal. They re bled the brake lines and that fixed it. Now it has a steady pedal pressure with feedback rather than just applying more and more pressure. I guess even a tiny bubble could render that? They did test for air and found nothing.
