New guy, 4runner is an old dream

Hello new friends,
Long story on where I am from yet, I am in the Army now for 13 years and stationed at Fort Benning GA. I have been living at Fort Lee VA. since Jan and will leave here at the end of May then back to GA to pack my stuff then move to Fort Richardson Alaska.

Gonna visit many places along the way so I am getting my truck ready as an excuse to hook it up.

VA-GA then in June GA - TN then west from there to AZ, NV, UT then back to CA and up the west coast to WA then get on a ferry to Alaska then 16 more hrs or so to Anchorage WOW that was easy to type but still in planning phase.

Any tips along the way. hit me up....

Hope to share my garage and trip along the way.

Plan on figuring out how to get more power but don't want to sacrifice too much fuel as we already aren't doing too great at 18ish.

Getting my Toyo Tech front leveling kit tomorrow.
Working on adding a battery this weekend! I see how to do it but crap so many options... I already have the Yellow Top Optima waiting in the truck

Sounds like a great road trip. If you care to take your journey a little further north. Two of the most spectacular drives in the country are in Montana. The southern one is along the Wyoming / Montana border. It is the Beartooth Highway. Head SW out of Red Lodge MT over the Beartooth pass into East Yellowstone and north to Livingston MT. The more northern road is the Going to the Sun Highway across Glacier Nat'l Park. Travel west off US Hwy 89 at Lower Saint Mary Lake drive through the heart of GNP and come out at Columbia Falls, MT. If you make this drive, the stop at the visitors center at the top of the pass is a must.
