Hello Fellow Toyota'uns!
New guy checking in from Florida. I am on my 3rd Tacoma and looking to replace that for a 4Runner. I am torn between 3rd Generation and 4th generation and I found this website while trying to find comparisons between the two. I am hoping to read up on some of the thoughts of experts such as yourselves and see if I can form my own educated decision. I really prefer the looks and style of the more rugged looking 3rd generations, but I know the 4th generations are more advanced, bigger 6cyl or optional V8 and all around nice machines. My lady friend of course likes the 4th Gens better too, more creature comfort but we can always use her unibody SUV for any long travels if need be. But I keep going back to the more rugged (and a little more vintage) look of the 3rd Generations......HELP???? I will only settle for 4wd and might end up with 2-3 inches of lift with an aggressive AT tire on it. Mine will be a daily driver, so I won't be tearing it up or going too radical with any part of a build. Any thoughts, advice, or pointers are greatly appreciated.
