I've had my share of Nissan's also. So after a great weekend, looks like the headgasket went out on the left bank. Considering my 4runner has 178k miles, i'm looking for another motor.

Sorry to hear , what engine are you thinkin about replacing it with?

Probably going to go with the stock 3.0 but i'm not sure. I'd like more power and reliability but cost is an issue. The good thing is, my mechanic is only charging me $250 to swap it out. I've heard a little bit about the 3.4 but at this point i don't know if i can afford it. Im having a hard time finding an engine around here also. It sucks, My brothers tranny went out in his rodeo, so i am letting him borrow my e36 and since i dont have but about a 20miles drive to and from work each day, i'm driving his CJ7.

Im having a hard time finding an engine around here also.

Copy that! Its hard to find a used yota engine period, they last longer than an Energizer Battery! :boxer:
