new guy gets 2001 4x4 SR5...

Just bought a black 2001 SR5 4x4 with 28k miles for $17,500.
I think the price was right from the research I have done.

I had family check the truck out (since I live in Cleveland) and had them take it to a dealer for a look over.

Its clean and in excellent condition.

The truck was in Texas so I just flew down to Dallas last weekend and drove it up to Cleveland. It was a long haul but worth every minute of it.


Thank God for Auto trader.

Any advice?? Its my first 4Runner.

what do you want to do with it? if i were you, i'd take a look around, think about some practical mods and go from there.

Welcome to the board. I think that is a very good price. I know someone who bought a 2001 2WD with 74,000 miles for about the same price from CarMax. It looks great and excellent mileage, that thing should last for ever.

I almost bought a 92 Volvo wagon (240), I loved my 1970 Volvo, but I ended up with a 92 Honda Wagon.

Nice find, you will love it. I would probably have the full 30K service done to it. Probably flush the tranny too. And the transfer case&Diffs. That way you know you started off with fresh new fluids. It looks to be in great shape otherwise.
