Hey all, Ive been searching for a reasonably low mileage 4th gen without much luck.

recently found one in GA. Single owner, 2006 sr5 with all maint records on hand. good condition for its age and having 174,000 on the clock.

he is asking $11k OBO. Im not sure what to offer. Ive looked at a bunch with similar milage and they are anywhere from $9.5-$12.5 and I didnt really want any of them.

you think $10k would be a starting point?

Start at 8 and don't go higher than 9. Thats a lot of miles.

IMO, a single owner and full records is a very nice thing... if you can get it for 10 or under your doing well.

appreciate the responses. Im on my 2nd tacoma and understand how toyotas hold their value but not sure how to price the 4runners

I agree with the previous poster about that being a lot of miles. Ultimately our opinion of value really isn't that important. You've looked around so you are familiar with what's out there. The only thing that you need to ask is if it's a good deal to YOU.

Keep in mind that there will be things wrong with it regardless. I always figure that I'll spend another $1,000 on it after I get it home. 4Runners are no different at that mileage.

Is it a V6 or V8 truck and is it 4WD?

11k seems pretty high unless it's an immaculate V8, 4WD truck with all maintenance fully documented

v6 4wd. its clean and in great condition for a 2006 thats been driven, but not immaculate.

Its the cleanest one Ive seen around here in my price range. Miles are a concern. the balance between miles and price is my fence. I guess after a few months of looking I may offer 8 like the poster above says and see what he says.

the miles aren't a concern for the drivetrain in these trucks.. it's the other stuff. suspension, brakes, a/c components, etc. as long as engine and trans are good to go, the rest is easily fixable. I'd offer in the 8-9k range as well and expect to put at least another grand into it or more if you can't work on your own vehicle.

good stuff. sounds like my taco's in that regard. ill check the frame out but assuming its been in GA its whole life rust shouldnt be an issue im worries about

I will change all fluids as soon as i get it home (assuming i get it) then figure out wheels tires suspension upgrades a few months down the road
