New Guy in Arkansas

Hey guys,

I'm not exactly new to the forum, but I am new-ish to 4Runners. My mom had a 95 4 Runner SR5 4x4 when I was growing up and I have liked them ever since. I actually influenced KMAYO and durrell toward buying theirs.

Somehow, when I found myself in the market for an inexpensive 4x4 SUV last summer, I ended up with a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I liked my Jeep, but the 4.5" lift it had on it pretty much crippled it from being able to do anything other than ride trails. I had the opportunity to sell it for a profit, so it went to a new owner Tuesday.

So the good part of this story is that KMAYO and I are actually on our way to pick up a 1999 SR5 4x4 in black that's currently in Austin, TX. Its basically one owner and has low miles and is in great shape. I'm crazy pumped about this ride and will post pics ASAP!

This is going to be my hunting/fishing/camping/basically anything my Honda can't do ride.


I'm stoked to be a part of this group officially and can't wait to get started with my very own 4Runner!

It was a LONG day of driving, but I just got 'er home. Here's a pic from along the way:

Congrats on the new runner. Looks awesome. I sold mine to a guy in AL a couple of days after we talked. 4th gen searching now.
