new to 4 runners, and offroading. i like climbing stuff and tricky trails. i have a 95 4r limited. stock except the 32"bfg a/t's. i plan to do a pair of spartan lockers, some 33's, maybe 2"susp lift/ 1" body lift. and tube bumpers and a winch.

any advice is welcome and helpful! :)

Welcome! Nice RNR... 2" lift will be plenty to run 33s. U won't need the body lift. Add some Budbuilt skids to ur list and enjoy!

thanks guys! a lot more participation here than on yotatech... or is it just me?

also, do the 843 guys ever get together?

where are you located my lowcountry Toyota brethren?

and Welcome! we are gonna hit gulches as a group hopefully soon...i missed the last one, but ill be there for the next with a new front locker and some fresh 5.29's!

Welcome to the forum. I'm from just south of y'all in Hilton Head. I'm fairly new also still no mods of any sort but eventually that would be sweet to go to gulches with a bunch of other 843 guys

im in goosecreek/summerville area and i am so down for a gulches trip man. im stock too but from what i understand a stock rig can do most of what the park has to offer. i like playing around locally too, i know of a few spots if you guys ever want to get together!

Always down for some local wheelin. I work up on Ashley phosphate so I know the area well. We will have to get up some time

I lived in Goose Creek/Summerville from 2008 to 2011.

I met audiness at our last Gulches run and we actually worked for the same company down there, but at different times... Small world.

sure is. SC is like its own little world tho, everyone here has lived and worked everywhere. haha. Where are you now in SC superman3043? we definately gotta organize an 8434Runner run! but seriously, is anyone down for some local wheelin this weekend? it would be nice to not get pulled out by a trash talkin jeep for once :flipoff:

I'm in Fort Mill, a couple miles south of Charlotte. I grew up around here. I moved down to Charleston area for work when the economy got bad and when it picked back up, I was able to come back home.

So if we did and 843 run, I couldn't come since I'm in the 803 :)

I didn't even know there were wheeling spots down there. I try to get back there at least once a year to visit family and friends and am always itching to get the truck dirty, but don't know of any spots. I'll have to hit y'all up next time we head down. Probably in the spring.

its mostly a lot of small spots. but dirty you will be sir! spring is perfect because the REALLY muddy stuff starts to dry out but there is still just enough to make a trail a little more interesting. definitely let someone know next time you're around!

I took my T4R back in Francis Marion Forest last weekend, I actually found a couple little side roads/ hunting roads that were a bit challenging (since it was so wet). The only thing is I am not sure if I could find those same spots again. But I have heard that there are some other decent spots to play around in Francis Marion.

I don't know of any other local spots in charleston. A long time ago there used to be some fun little trails behind best buy on Ashley phosphate/Rivers Av., but those are off-limits now :(

there is a trail system in the college park neighborhood, i hear of a place called old pond on james island where iv'e never been, there are tons of abandoned construction projects with hill climbs and such.
