Hey everyone, been on this site quite a bit and thought id make my first post and introduce myself. My names Dean, and i bought a '97 4Runner about 6 months ago. Its my second car, i just recently sold my '97 Pathfinder that i had a 3" lift on and 32" Wranglers on. FYI i originally wanted a Runner as a first car but couldnt afford one hahaha. Anyways here a pic of both my olf Pathfinder and My new-ish Runner. Its a 97 4Runner SR5 with an e-locker, and 250km. So far ive done the tundra 199mm brake mod, with Brembo rotors and Akebono pads. As well as added 32" BFG A/T's a clarion stereo with ipod hook up, bug deflector and an external tranny cooler. I also just put on some cheap skyjacker shocks in that back since i snapped one of the oem ones offroading the other day, im hoping the skyjakers will last until i put in my Toytec Ultimate lift in April. Anyways im not one who usually takes pictures while hes doing work but ill put up after shots as i go. Let me know what you think, any info or suggestions is appreciated

Hey welcome Dean. Good looking runner. What mods have been done so far? Is it already lifted a bit?

My first suv was a '94 Pathfinder LE. Was the best I had till I got my 4Runner 3 years ago. Welcome to T4R!!

Hey thanks man, yeah 4runner definetly looks better especially since theres hardly any rust on it

Hey thanks bulger, no its not lifted, but it does have a bigger tire on it. so far ive put in a clarion stereo with ipod hook up, tundra 199mm brake mod, bug delfector, skyjacker rear shocks which are temps until my Toytec ultimate lift in april, and an external tranny cooler. Yeah i loved my pathy, but there is such a difference in quality between it and the runner, the runner is far superior, my pathy was really rotting out which is why i got rid of it, the rockers were rotted out and my wheel wells were so bad my flares were actually falling off. I really think nissan uses a cheap low grade steal. The '94's were nice too at least they had a frame. O well T4R FTW!!!!

I remember you commented on mine, too, about the Tundra brakes..

I was like "why does this pathfinder guy want to know about Toyota brakes...?"
 
Now that You mentioned it I too remember rust as well. Before I totalled it during winter storm was a clean dark green ride. But these 4Runners are superior I have seen as well. And sit higher. Can't wait to see more future mods. Keep us posted and in touch or if any questions there's great people and info here.

hahaha yeah you were one of the other trucks that "pushed me over the edge" lol. I was thinking the same thing when i made the comment "awe hes gonna think im an idiot because im asking about a toyota mod when ive got a nissan" hahaha. Oh btw since i havent been on there in a while congrats on winning the Castrol Edge contest!!!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Cant wait to do all the mods that ive seen on here
