New guy with 2000

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this website. I have a 2000 4cyl. 4x4 manual, with 84k miles. Has an K&H flow thru which helps increase power from the 4 banger. Gets 20-22 mpg. Pretty clean. Still has the plastic on the carpet! I think it's a keeper! Thanks for all the input on the site, it's very helpful. Thanks, DY.

Have you had that since it was new ?

or where did you find it , damn it's spotless !!!

Excellent truck:D

Looks very nice and it's also very rare! As you probably know 2000 was the last year for the 4 banger as well as the 5spd stick. And to find a 4x4 w/ that combo w/ that low of mileage is an excellent find. Makes me miss my old '00 :(

Thanks Guys!

Thanks Guys for the compliments!

Peter78- The color is okay, but sometimes it the way it works out! (See attached) Wasn't planned for sure!

Falls- I picked it up about 6 months ago, from a buddy of mine who was moving back to Minnesota and get this....his wife made him sell it because she wasn't going to learn how to drive a stick! (I remind him everyday he made a mistake). He only had it for 6 months. The previous guy to him was the original owner, a retired guy. No little kids, so the interior was "sano". My buddy put new shocks /coils, lifted it about 3/4" of an inch from stock. Added the K&N. Added a flow thru exhaust, it has a little deeper sound from the pipes.

Sheezy- I'm a pretty old guy(51) so I'm a little conservative with what I want to do to it. I'm a California guy though, so Cars are in my blood. Mainly VW's (Ghias, Vans, Bugs) are what I'm used to, so this website is helpful to me for ideas on 4Runners. Any ideas?

Thanks, DY

I have those same wheels, but mine are painted black. The backspacing looks better on yours though, my truck looks like one of those mail trucks with the tires sitting in so far and the limited flares. Oh well, spidertrax will solve all that! Good looking 4Runner, I really wanted a white one too!

That is a great looking 4Runner. That truck doesn't even look 1 month old. I see from your driveway that white is your color of choice! :D

Thanks again everyone!

White cars are popular in the summer here in AZ! I didn't plan it that way. I think because of my age, I've gone thru the souped up, hopped up stage and I'm in the "clean and efficient" stage. Like a '57 Porsche Speedster, I guess.....

You guys will love this one. I'm trying to keep it for the next 3 years to give to my son when he turns 16-17. I know, to nice for a teenager to have! I might have to go with a "beater" first. The Focus in the driveway has 140k and is my "daily driver", so I don't think that will last 3yrs. We'll see. Thanks again for all the positive notes!
