I bought a 4Runner a few days ago. I got a good deal on it; it has 173,000 miles and the seller did not know if it had ever had a new timing belt. After we settled on a price, I saw a sticker under the hood for a new timing belt at 160,000 miles. It's pearl blue. The interior has seen better days, but I'm planning to replace the carpet and upholstery, along with upgrading the stereo. I do love that ice-cold a/c. It also has a tow hitch. Great for pulling a race car and for making runs to the scrap yard. (I'm a plumber. I save up brass and copper parts that get removed)
I had planned on getting a Ford Expedition, but a friend wanted me to check out his neighbor's 4R. I like it. (obviously). I did some research before going to look at it. It looks like with proper maintenance, the 3.4L will last many more miles. I like working on project cars, so getting this for a daily driver will let me work on a couple of them.
