New guy with an old question. (I Think)

i just purchased a 09 SR5 4runner this last friday. It come with a stock radio (no JBL or anything like that) so my question is can I go to crutchfield and just order a double din radio of my choice with the proper wiring plug to hook it to the stock wiring and speakers? I miss my sat radio and really don't want to mount a portable unit on the dash. I would rather upgrade to a unit that all ready has this built in. IE: alpine, Sony etc. I hope you guys can understand what I'm trying to say.

Yes, you can upgrade your head unit without any worries. Crutchfield will even sell you (or possibly include) the correct wiring harness to make your new head unit plug-n-play. If you have stereo controls on your steering wheel (not sure if the SR5 has them or not), then ask the Crutchfield rep if the new head unit needs a wiring harness or if it is plug-n-play. For what it's worth, most Eclipse head units plug right into the steering wheel controls on our 4Runners, no harness needed.
