New halo driving lights

I got these Hella driving lights for christmas and I had a great time installing them. lol. I decided instead of mounting them in my grill like I was going to that I'd put them in my lower valance instead to add a more unique look and to use them as fog lights in case I ever need them out here in San Diego, CA. lol. Long story short I had to do a bit of fab work to get the passenger side light to fit because for some reason toyota didnt make a symmetrical bumper (at least on my '97 4runner SR5 they didnt) and so i had fun playing around getting a solid foundation to mount the bracket. Anyways let me know what you think. I havnt wired them yet so right now its just the pic of them sitting there.

After: (I also repainted the lower valance with a bumper trim Duplicolor spray paint, its a little glossy for my taste so when i repaint the side steps i'm going to use another type of trim paint to see if its a little more matte)

ya i did but i cant seem to put them up. i guess thats what i get for being a new-b. it wont get me past the browse portion... i found my file but it isnt doing anything. lol. I think my pic might be too big...

It hasnt had a bath yet so pardon all the finger prints everywhere but here ya go. I'll get some picks of the lights in action once I have the time to wire them. Prolly this wed.

So how did you mount them?

You should definitely buy some clear corners and turning lenses.

Under the drivers side of the bumper there is about an 1.5" lip that I was just going to dril through and mount the bracket to (which is what I did for that side) however on the passenger side that lip dwindles down to only about .5" or maybe 3/4" so what I ended up doing there was using a premade hole I found under the bumper on the rightmost side of the little cutout I made in the lower valance and then used the screw hole that is right behind the license plate frame. (behind the vertical piece in the lower valance) I went to my dads work and got a piece of .5" plexiglass and drilled holes according to the ones I found on my car and then mounted the bracket to that. It took a lot of measuring but it ended up actually making a pretty solid mounting point that wont rust in the rain or anything.

i was looking at your 1st pic, and couldn't find your lights and didn't notice anything different from a stock 4Runner.

Yeah its pretty much just for looks. lol. When i bought the "fog lights" from the internet it said they could be used as fog lights and thats what all the reviews said too, they just switched them out for the factory lights and they were good to go. I like the halo look and so i figured for only $60 it would def be worth it just for the fog light alone and the angel eye look was just a really cool bonus. When i got the box it said that "this product is made for off road use only" which leads me to believe that they arnt really fog lights but an off roading driving light. I will say though that turning on just the "fog lights" the light is super bright and it lights up a lot more than just my conventional head lights. And for only $60 it was a pretty good deal for me.

And i forgot. Here's the switch that turns on either the halo's (with the single bar) or the driving lights (the double bar at the bottom). Imo it actually looks like it could be a pretty stock switch and it hides it pretty well.

ok so here is a night pic i did at my house but i've got a question. I wanna match my headlight bulb color to the color of the angel eyes. I looked on the Hella website and it said that the bulb in the fog light is an h3 halogen bulb but didnt say anything about the blue/white color of the angel eyes. Any suggestions on a headlight bulb that would match the color of the HALO?

The Halo looks blue to me. Fo_Sheezy mentioned some bulbs, like Texons or something like that. You might want to research those.
