New Handmade Frontal and Rear Bumpers + 3 Skid Plates

This is my current mod. Im installing at a local manufacturer both bumpers and 3 skid plates (from the front up to the 4x4 gear box).

The guys making them have more than 15 years building the best bumpers in Peru. The bumpers are made of 1/8 inch steel plates (same as ARB) with a total weight of about 110 pounds (no winch).

Ill upload more pictures on thursday (another advance) and saturday (finish product photos).

Are you adding a beefier skid under the fuel tank? That's a big one and the one place where I've taken a decent hit so far.

For the rear I took as an example the rear bumper of a guy who had a 5th gen 4runner in this forum but I think he sold it... I cant remember the name. Im attaching a picture. The difference is that mine will go all the way up on the sides. The swing out tire carrier will come in a couple of months.

Hi Park! Im putting a 1 piece Skid with "mustages" that goes all the way down to the carter. BIts going to look great!

Was the bumper flare fabricated or was it cut off of the oem bumper and placed in that spot? If it is fabricated, that is right on the money. Great job,Looks good.

That is downright sexy! .... For a blend between OEM and offroad, that's probably the best execution yet!. I especially like how there are no separate filler pieces under the headlights. Very nice craftsmanship.

Thanks!! it was fabricated form steel sheets of 1/8 of an inch steel and "stick welded" together... The OEM bumper is intact and i'm saving it in my deposit to put it back on if I ever need it.

What's your plans for turn signals?

I will only use the ones on the headlights, I believe the bumper will loose structural strength if I made more holes on it to put the lights, besides, it looks really mean with those huge "side bumpers".

There is a gap of about 1/4 of an inch between the head light and the bumper because there is always a little movement between the chassis and the bodywork, if the bumper touches the headlights or anything else, it will definitely break it...
