i'm asking if anyone has seen or used these before. Ive never seen them, so I thought i'd post it. search ebay or check out item# 8008458145. I've never seen a 4runner come with these so I have to assume they are aftermarket.

i see.
the headlights themselves are 99+ headlights.. though the auction says "OE replacement" so theyre probably just aftermarkets. probably of decent enough quality, their feedback is decent enough.
the corners i believe are a jdm part. you can buy those from jason b. in fact id get all of it from jason.
im running all of that (jason b clears and i have the factory headlight lenses) on my truck, plus i have the clear turn signals:

i'm kinda burned out on the whole clear thing. Too many people have it, and rice gives me indigestion. Plus i have a black 4runner. Have you ever seen smoke tails? or can you just wrap them with window tint...

i shouldn't generalize. I don't know what others' interpretations are. But when i hear the words "clear lens" I think of a white-out or chromed out look. Maybe with a red lens cap or 2. these just struck me different. And i'm basically just trying to get opinions on the look... Also when i say smoked tails, I don't mean black out. Just something more on the lines of this

You can't take em' way from me.
I think it really updates the truck and ~flows~.
They are many aftermarket heads, corners, etc, and not all are made the same, and some use cheap components. The ones I've used have help up great and I've had them on the longest I'm sure. More pics/write-up on my site.

If I had some better image software I would show you what I mean...not "ricey" at all (if I'm interpreting what you mean by that term "ricey" correctly)
i love the '99+ headlights. if i had the cash, i would put them on my 98. i also love lee's setup up front. looks good on black. but i would not be able to do it on my truck. i don't think it would look right. so i suppose that is up the the individual. and as for the blacked out tails.....sometimes they are hard to see when they are blacked out. but you can get the tail light covers from gto or whoever. i have never been a huge fan of those though. but then again, i am not really a huge fan of the tail light guards (grille type). but that is an option for your look. easily removable too. unlike a window tint application.

again. i'm not talking about blacked out tails....i'm talking about SMOKED... Anywho.....the reason I consider it ricey is..Where i'm from, and I dont know if it's the same nationwide, all these ghetto kids take their crappiest multicolored cars and put clears in them and thinks they're a road racer... they put lights everywhere, windshield washer, valve stems, litle glowing antennas.. bugs the hell outa me and I don't want my 4runner to look anything similar to that....I know everyone has their own opinion as to what looks good, and in mine, that doesn't.....example....

Subtle touches are where it's at. Don't go overboard with all that crappy stuff from Kmart.
Everyone has different likes and dislikes, all I can say is I really like My Clear Corners and Bumpers...One of the easiest and best mods I have done along with the Chrome Bulbs.
Marshallmay, I really wish you could see one of our trucks in person...I really believe you would change your mind.

I'll bet the dirt on the Minivan was older than the windshield lettering!
