Hi all. I have had 5.5 toyota 4x4's over the year's '80, 82, 87, 88, 93( one a parts doner) pretty good luck with them all. Well, I just picked up a '86 4runner. I bought it as a started prodject, pretty much apart, that needs completion so I'll be checking out all your rig's to keep me goin and probably lot's a ??. So I got it rolling and there's a knocking coming from the trans in reverse. My 82 did this in forward gears (got pretty bad) before a deer meeting ended any need to delve into it. Any suggestions as to what's the cause. Thanx.
