Hi all- this site looks really cool- lots of great T4R info and I've only just started poking around.

I have a 97 SR5 that is completely stock- just learned it is a "3rd gen"- love this truck! We've had a 97 since 97 and this one has 230,000 miles on it and still runs great. I just took it over from my wife and I plan to give it to my son in a couple of years. (She bought a new Jeep Unlimited- I like the 4Runner better... shhhhh :))

I'm curious to see what you all are doing to get more power out of the 3.6. And I'm really curious what people are getting for gas mileage- I put an oil separator on my PCV line recently and it seems to be making big improvements.

There are a couple of little things wrong like the rear defrost doesn't work- I'll search soon to see if there is a cure. My plan is to keep it maintained and maybe I can work with my son modding it up when he gets it.

Well with the 3.6 you already have a jump on most of us :D

All joking aside supercharger for power, and 17-19 mpg seems to be the norm for people.

lol 3.6

Welcome to the forum! Glad you like your 4Runner so much :thumb3:

There aren't a lot of easy quick mods to gain HP with this motor. It's all expensive, maintenance heavy stuff. Supercharger, headers, 7th injector kit, computer tuning, etc etc....
