hydrogen boost... Illl report when the numbers come in
good or bad..

I, for one, can't wait to hear the results. I have been looking at these a bit and doing research for about a month. YOu are the closest I have come to hearing results from a real person rather than a person providing a testimonial on a website. Please tell me a couple of things.

First - Please confirm whether you are affiliated in any way with any business entity that could benefit from providing any information or are you just a guy looking for better mileage?

Second - Did you buy or build your system? If built, where did you get plans? If bought, which brand?

Thanks a lot. I hate to appear cynical, but you hear / see so many untrustworthy endorsments.

info

1) I have no affiliation with any company building, promoting,
selling or any issue involved with HHO

2) I started last summer on a kick for better mileage
because I think the govt, exxon, and Gm...can already
do a better job of MPG..but they all want the money!!
we pay the price

3) somebody said to me...hey if they can do it they already would
have done it.. I said bull$^% so I set off to improve my own
mileage...and since my truck has long been paid for I offered
it up for pure experimentation on my part...but using a reasonable man theory for my experiments

4) I own a pizza delivery store in Wash D>C. Drivers are complaining aout high gas prices...so this is a natural study
for me..

5) I bought my HHO from a guy on Ebay...I don;t have time
build the thing..I am not sure what amount of hho
production is optimal ...but I hope to find out...

6) my personal studies adding acetone to my gasoline proved
mr. lapointes theories right about combustion so the HHO
made sense to me as wel... www.smartgas.net

7) I can tell my 4 runner has more zip on the accel...but too
early for any meaningful data..

Hope I answered you questions..I will post my findings here
good or bad.....

Can't wait for results.

You tried adding acetone to the fuel. What was the result? What was the effect of acetone on your MPG?

yes....acetone works....but only in small amounts....2-3 oz for
10 galllons of gas.....more is not better....
I get about 25-26 hwy now.....and acetone is part of the reason..

What was your mileage before acetone?

14-15 cty 17-18 hwy

I have done many things to improve my mileage

low friction tires
newspark wires ngk

pulstar plugs
torco oil products

fever buster to negate my computer from enriching the fuel

go to www.smartgas.net and read there...I am a student
of his knowledge..but have no ties or business with him..
I have done most all of his super mileage tips..

Holy Crap !! is this guy for real? take a look at the link he posted. Has anyone else here added Acetone to a 4th Gen V8? If could get 25% better mileage I think its a no brainer. My truck is out of warranty anyway, and he makes it sound like it is totally safe for the engine.

I put in some acetone today. I have been pretty anal about keeping up wiht my mileage so hopefully my findings will be pretty accurate. FYI - I drive pretty hard and my mileage to this point over the near 50,000 miles I have had my 4Runner (since new) has been about 17.5 city and 19.8 on the road. I log every tankful. I think it will probably take at least a few tankfuls to really have any meaningful data.

I'm looking forward to seeing your data seeing that we live in roughly the same area. I know you have a 4th gen compared to my 3rd, but it should be close enough to tell.

Did you see my answer to the car wash question in the other thread a while ago?

BTLFED - yea I saw your car wash recommendation but I didnt try them. I might but they kind of ticked me off when I asked them for a price to wash my other vehicle.

They were REALLY high so I never went back...

Really? That's odd. I go there all the time and the only thing that irritates me is that depending on who writes my truck up its either a "Large SUV ($22)" or an "Extra Large SUV ($26 WTF)." That is your other vehicle? I can't imagine what they told you for that LOL!

I'm a little excited about this gas mileage thing here. If I can get 24-25 MPG like the OP is I might have a heart attack LOL

I too would be very interested in seeing what the results are going to be. How long has anyone used acetone? Any adverse affects. I have almost 69000 miles on my 04 Runner. My truck is prestine and I want to keep the engine that way too.

I would love some input.. I cant even get over 15mpg, but I drive the thing.....LOL

Ok gentlemen,

my preliminary numbers do not bode well for the HHO...

this was 3 short hwy runs of 30 miles....same loop at the same
outdoor temp...same speed as possible 56-59 ....

with HHO turned on 22.93 MPG

turned off 34.83MPG

that was so high I did it again..just to see

last run turned off again 32.53 MPG

keep in mind I have finally just zeroed in my O2 overide...
its possible that I need to change the setting for the HHO
addition..
.its possible there is something else wrong
in my set-up

its possible that its bullshit...

stay tuned....but frankly If I can get mileage like above
without it...thats better....

JOHN

Like everybody here, I am an optimistic skeptic. I want to know more about the things you already did if you are consistently getting mileage in the mid 20's, not to mention these recent tests in the 30's. That is nearly double what I get and I would LOVE to get 30+. I assume you are calculating by dividing miles travelled by fuel needed to fill tank. You need to run full tanks, not 30 or 40 miles and refill. There is too much variation in topping off the tank. These short trips are not accurate no matter how hard you try to be consistent. I really hope the HHO is not BS. Keep us posted. To get real numbers it is going to take some time, but we are willing to wait for the real poop.

COFlyfisher - I dont know that I'd be bragging if my breath really smells like bait...:)

yes...short trips are not real accurate..however I wanted
to get an inclination at least.....

Call me an optimistic skeptic also, but a 30+ mpg baseline makes it tough to get any improvement with the hho or otherwise. I'll take your 30+ with nothing else done if I could get it!
