New Highlander trying to look 4Runner tough

Looks like a European version of the Venza, but smaller.

I like it... looks more aggressive and a bit like the UK Rav4 - which looks very cool compared to the US version.

I like the new look of Toyota with the exception of the Sequoia. Still think the older style looks better.

I hope the placement of the badge changes in the US version (and I think it will... that badge is way too small for what is considered acceptable for a truck/SUV/CUV in the US, haha).

Otherwise, I think it looks like a baby land cruiser, which is a good thing. I LOVE the current LCs. Too bad they are so expensive and hold their value so well.

TT - you like the old seq because it looks so similar to the new 4Runner.

The styling of the current Highlander has actually grown on me, but its lack of offroad capability turns me off. The picture of the upcoming model seems to be closer to the Land Cruiser, which I like.

Too true. My 11 year old daughter noticed a Sequoia the other day as we passed it. She said it was pretty cool looking. I asked her if she liked it better than our car. She said that "our car looked cooler because it looks more aggressive and looks like it belongs in the mountains or something."

I couldn't have said it any better!

I just had some Michelin Latitude 285/50-20s installed on my Limited today and it really helped the ride and handling, not to mention the LOOKS! Took me a long time to decide, but so far, it seems like a lotta bang for the buck.

I put 50k on a 2010 limited with nav. Sweet ride. I went through lots of mud with no problem. I hate the nanny state tranny override though. When things got real slick the accelarator stopped listening to me. It was a company car if you are wondering. And yes my boss knows how I drive.
