New Hood or New Muffler

Consider the price of the hood after painting and everything... I think muffler is the right way to go. Your "Major" mod to save for should be some paint!

I actually got paint quotes. Maaco is 600 and a decent place is 1500. As long as I don't get a ticket in the mail, muffler it is.

If you go the Maaco route, make sure you do your own prep work. Maaco does a great job spraying, they just don't do any prep work.

No offense but what's the point of putting a new hood (especially painting it) when the rest of it needs paint also. If it were me I would say pass on both of those and focus on some other details. A new muffler on any vehicle with that much paint oxidation doesn't say "I have a nice Borla exhaust" , it says my exhaust is going bad just like the paint.

Again, not trying to flame you or put you down but I would put my money elsewhere.

In my opinion unless you plan on painting the whole vehicle a new hood would be like putting makeup on a pig.

if your in law enforcement you should show alittle class instead of saying he should get his "f'n" permit revoked
