New Info on Lucrum

repost: This is in the survey thread. I wanted to flag it more broadly.

I spoke with Geoff at Lucrum Ind today. They don't have anything in the works for the 5th. They were considering it a while back, but didn't think the volume was there to recover the development cost. He said a group buy of 10+ would be enough to get this designed. Forecast cost is $600 (same as FJ).

I told him I would post that info here and see what happens. I have no idea how a group buy works, so someone will have to step up and host it.

Is he even remotely serious? We had a thread recently with tons of interest and even a few, including myself, who contacted them but did not even get the courtesy of a reply.

Now, he wants a firm order of 10 before he brings it to market?

I agree...I personally contacted him twice and also explained the poll and how interested people were. Seems he was checking the forum occasionally.

If he didn't detect a hint of interest at this point, I felt he may have left the audience behind...:happens:

I would also deffinatly be in for one, but I would like to see one first and maybe just a mock up one would work, but on the other hand there was a home jobber one that was on here last week and it looked very very good.
