New Injector: Genuine Toyota, Reman, or Other Brand?

'99 3.4L is throwing a p0302, did plugs (NGK), wires (NGK) and coil pack (Denso) and still having issues. I am going to try the injector next.

My question is, can I go with an "off" brand from say Rock Auto, or should I stick with a factory Toyota part? Should I consider going with a remanufactured injector? Would like to hear from those who have done injectors before.

With myself being a toyota mechanic I would go with a new toyota injector. Although they are really expensive, you cant go wrong with this option. Reman injectors are a total gamble. Ive seen several threads on here where the owner put reman injectors in and one was d.o.a. and the other didnt last long. Aftermarket might be ok but im unsure how long they will last. Just make sure you replace the o-rings when you get around to replacing it.

I put 6 injectors from GB remanufacturing in my rig about 10k miles ago. Runs top. GB has a good reputation...

If the injector is just dirty, you might pull all 6 and have them sent off to be cleaned and the O rings replaced. If the injector has an electrical malfunction [test the resistance] I was happy with the reman'd...

Something to consider... if you're replacing one injector you might do all of them if you can swing it, or have them all cleaned at least. One clean injector with high flow and 5 dirty ones with lower flow doesn't help the fuel economy and if one went bad, another is probably around the corner...

At the minimum, you'll have to replace the O rings on the injectors on whichever side you pull. They're old and brittle and will leak if you try to reuse them...

Went with LCE Performance Injectors

I decided to go with a set of injectors from LCE Performance. I have the 5VZ 3.4 LITER V6 EQUALIZED FUEL INJECTOR SET 1999-2004, Spendy at $299 a pop with a core charge of $48. Like [MENTION=69868]LittleCaesar[/MENTION] says - OEM or at least from a professional toyota performance dealer. Stay away from AutoZone and Napa and other aftermarket parts.
