This the new Landcruiser. Looks nice and basic. I wonder if they'll unveil the Prado soon.

In Japan there are several very different variations that are under the Land Cruiser name. The picture you showed is off the new Land Cruiser Prado...and not what is known as just simply Land Cruiser in most parts.
The Land Cruiser is larger than the Prado.

See the difference.

I see your link is incorrectly reffering the to the shown vehicle as the Land Cruiser/LX duo instead of the Prado/GX twins as it actually is.

That's definitely the next TLC Prado/Lexus GX variant, not the American market TLC/Lexus LX variant.

It gets very confusing because in some markets (England maybe?) I think they market the TLC Prado/GX as just plain Land Cruiser (without the Prado suffix). I notice the first link was to news about the Frankfurt show so they're clearly using the European nomenclature.

Here's another thread I posted in July about the '10 TLC Prado/GX which links to ClubLexus, looks like the pic in the old thread was accurate :)

Looks good, but I know the new GX will be even better! I wish they would call their vehicles the same name in each country instead of so many variations of the same thing.

I think the GX will be a winner. Unfortunately the sticker at best will be $55k, uuhhh, I guess I will have to wait another year.

Edit: News release as of today.
See the link to the new Land Cruiser Prado website update that has been released by Toyota Japan. This is the sister to the Lexus GX.

I can't interpret the Japanese but you can surf the links for all the shots.
I see specs on a V6 and I4, no V8! 3 models. 10 colours. No 6 speed tranny.
