New LED daytime running lights won't stay on
I own a 08 4Runner Sport that uses a 1156 bulb for both DRL and turn signal.
Recently I replaced it with an LED bought from Super Bright Leds and two 3 OHM 50W 4 BULB resistors to counter hyper blinking.
After installation , the blinkers worked fine, but the DRL's would not stay on for more than 5 minutes. They would come on briefly whenever the blinker is activated, but turn off again.
I thought maybe that particular LED was not intended for DRL use, so I ended up replacing them with the new (and expensive) V3 Triton LED's for DRL's. They were much brighter, but I'm still having the same problem.
Anybody have any suggestions as to why these DRL's won't stay on?
