New Lift and Tires...

Just got done with my OME full suspension 3" lift, also upgraded from some 265/70/16's to some Nitto Terra Grappler 285/75/16's, Have had my stock wheels painted for about a year or so, but need to re-paint them since they changed my tires and took a lil paint off. The new tires only had a little bit of rubbing on the inside of the front fender, took a little sawzall work and fixed that in no time.

WOW that looks badass. I really like how your rims look. Did u paint them or did u bring them somewhere. One other thing where did you get the rear plate frame.

Looks nice!! When I clicked on your link about the painted wheels...they look so much better than the stock.

Plus...one stare at your plate, I was like hey, 916, he's a somewhat local. I'm in San Francisco...I'll be passing that direction when the snow comes haha

by the way...since you said you're going to repaint the rims, have the shop rebalance your wheels too, but this time, put the weights on the inside.

Yeah, I am goina repaint them this weekend...I had the weights on the outside before, but had just painted emm black too, I think i might just do that again...

Oh, and about the rubbing...It was rubbing the inside of the front fender, but after a little slicing and dicing with the sawzall, all is well! Still looks the same from the side and stuff, can't even notice they have been trimmed, yet they have nice amount of clearance now!

Looks Badass!! You should definatley get some mud flaps for the front... I know they will look kinda corny but it will save your paint job. Trust me when I say this... I learned this from past experience. Its also another reason why I wont remove my running boards.

Looks good man! How much of the front fender did you cut off? I'm getting some minor rubbing on mine, but I don't have the mudflap on anymore. If I did, it would probably rub like crazy!!! I'm swapping out my stock 265's for the winter, but would like to eventually run 285's all year round, and keep the front mudflaps all year too.

not too much off the fenders, it looks really good, and i haven't had a problem with anymore rubbing! Also, I bought my lift from toyotech.

Did you get the OME 881's with top spacers at the front or 882?

Looks sick. I live in the Sac area also. You think the 285's will feel doggish headed up to Tahoe? I'm wanting to do a lift and new rubber pretty quick. My fear is I'll be struggling headed up the hill weighted down with people, etc. Can you even tell the difference with the bigger tires? PS: The rims and sport hood is lookin clean!

That's a nice looking Runner! Which OME springs did you use 881/890 or 882/891? Did you use any top plate spacers or trim packers?
