Nothing is needed. The adjustment for the front is provided in the body of the shock. I would recommend one setting from the bottom. For the rear I did reinstall the factory bump cone which you should have on your truck already. This set-up is what I have right now on my truck, plus some optional Sonoran Steel bits that you don't really need.

Thanks rjaudi, please read my edited post above and let me know what you think about the panhar bar & diff drop, if they are necessary with your lift suggestion...
Also, on the trdparts4u site, it says "OME coils can only be installed with OME nitrocharger shocks." Is this true?? Anyone?

TRDparts4u is the website that sells the aftermarket parts. There sister site is toyotapartsales.com. They are both Toyota of Dallas. You might have to call them, but it might save you on shipping.
You can use the OME rear coils with any shock. If you wanted to you can buy the Sonoran Steel panhard bar or the drop bracket from Toytec. I am running the Sonoran Steel option, but either would work.

Thanks rjaudi! I was looking at the panhard piece. I think trdparts4u showed just a bracket than needed to be welded on?? Is this different from Sonoran Steel?

Insert foot in mouth, just read on Sonoran Steel's website. There is a bracket, then there is the whole adjustable rod - 2 different things:
FYI: The reason we do not use/manufacture the drop bracket any more, we invented it for the 3rd Gen in 2001, is that it simply does not work. It is un-adjustable so most installers see no benefit as they have a different amount of lift than the fixed weld on bracket compensates for, basically is does not drop enough, the discontinued drop bracket also increases the roll center making the truck more tippy, the correct way to do this would be to raise the axle side, not lower the frame side and if it is welded on crooked, it negates itself.
The longer Adjustable Trac/PanHard bar is the correct way to solve the problem without side effects, look at all the Jeep TJ and JK lifts they do it the same way for the same suspension setup.

Any other lift setup suggestions for a 3" lift - keeping in mind I'd like an upgraded factory-ish type ride, done right, will keep the truck for a long time & moderately priced? :fishing:

Hey rjaudi I did some research and found that a 95.5-04 Tacoma (what does 95.5 mean?) front shock will work as well. And for the Bilstein 5100's they are $175/pair as opposed to the $190 price for the Tundras. Any difference between the two and what are the pros/cons?
Also, I've been hearing good things about the OME 881 in combination with the Billy 5100's, plus they are also cheaper ($146) then the Tundra springs at $240...
I'm still not able to pull up the Landcruiser shocks or Tundra parts on trdparts4u.....I copy/paste the item #'s you posted and it won't find them + I search just by the name with no luck.............

After making a couple calls to ARB & Toytec & Sonoran Steel (Steve would barely give me the time of day, sounds like he knows what he's talking about but as far as helping a new guy out.....wouldn't recommend him), more leaning towards the full OME setup over mixing with Bilstein shocks...both places said they are made for each other and will offer a more comfortable ride which I am looking for.
Soooo, looks like this will be the setup for about 2.5" of lift:
-Front: OME 881/9004
-Rear: OME 906/60028
-Front Driver side trim packer to even out
-Go with a diff drop for peace of mind
-I guess I will order the Panhard Bar from Steve (wish someone else offered this)
-Poly Steering Rack Bushing Kit
