New Light Racing UCA

So today I got my light racing upper control arms installed, along with OEM lower ball joints just for peace of mind since theres been some recent BJ failures. So far they work good, and tightened up 15 yrs worth of wear on the components. The upper ball joints seem much stronger than the OEM ones. Cant wait to test them out on the trail sometime.

Very nice! I love my LR UCA's. Where did you get the lowers from? I am thinking of changing mine soon after some of the recent threads on them. Was thinking about doing the Tundra Brake mod and lowers at the same time.

I just got the lower BJs from the toyota dealer for like 90 a side I think. It comes with the ball joint the steering arm and a new bolt and cotter pin, then you just re-use the mouting bolts.

Heres a shot of the new UCA :bigok:

Looks good man, I love my LR UCA's. Although, I dunno if I'm a fan of TOYTEC across it, it looks a bit crowded, my LR UCA's came blank:

But man, do they feel great. On center feel and tracking were AWESOME before I went wheeling a few weeks back... haha.

Thanks for the replies guys, Mrbob- the only time you can really see the arms is when your looking into the wheel well, they sit level now rather than how the stock ones are pushed down at an angle. Kelly- Thanks, yeah I kinda feel the same just wanted to see how they looked with the sticker, but relized after I put that one on i only had one Toytec sticker left, so itll probably come off. THEREALTOR- The handling is better little stronger feeling when hitting bumps on the street havent got to test them off road yet, but id say they improved the feel while driving.

LR UCAs

I'm such a slacker I have a set on my work bench but haven't gotten a chance to install. I did manage to prime and paint my belly and gas tank skids from "lil' skip", have I installed them? Heck no.

Do you think these UCA's increased the distance between the upper part of the knuckle and the spring? i have a spacer lift and my knuckle is hitting as it reaches full droop....

These are tubular so there should be a slight increase in clearance. It may cure your contact there.
