New Lights & Bumper Ideas/Opinions

So I'm finally getting around to buying exterior items for the 4Runner. I was off-roading and had my passenger front fender scratched to hell, and banged up...good news is, it was an aftermarket, and my cousin painted it when my dad got Me the 4R, so the color was off a tad. Not this time around.

Anyways, the point is I have a lot of questions. Mainly my questions towards your opinions, and thank you for helping out in advance. So here we go:

To start off, my 4Runner currently looks like this...minus the chrome fender trim pieces. Got rid of them finally.

Now my soon to order next week grille guard is going to be black, and the only things on my 4Runner now chrome are the front/rear bumpers, and grille. Grille might stay, bumpers I'm gonna get rid of because of damage to both.

So that leads me onto the next issue. Im not going with an arb bar, just the westin black guard. So...my question is, would a black bumper look good, or should I paint the front bumper the same as the rest of the car, which is Burgandy/Dark Red?

The rear bumper is where I need more help. I'm looking for the fab/custom rear bumpers I've been seeing off and on...this one here....

Do they still make them? SonoranaSteel no longer carries them if I'm correct. And I haven't found any others. I'm going to get ahold of a fab tech guy my friend knows in the next couple of weeks to see what he'll price me one at.

And last I've already decided on the Euro LED Smoked tailights. So that's final.

Oh and I think the back window may or may not include a decal that reads, "Jeep Recovery System." That may be after the suspension lift though! :flipoff:

Anyways, thanks for the input, and suggestions. In the end, I'll obviously go with what I think looks the best, and my style, but it would still be nice to hear what everyone has to say about everything.

get the clear corners if you need to replace them if not dont even bother buying new ones, just get a custom rear bumper from ur buddy, and get an ARB front bumper and a superwnch 8.5k, and a bajarack. thats what i would do to mine atleast.

Arb grille won't happen for $1,400. Unless anybody has one they're trying to sale, or give away? Other than that, I like the look of the westin grille. Bit of class to it. If I decide to buy another Runner, found cheap '96 for like 2000, then I'll get one for that. But don't see me buying another 4runner again anytime soon. Next SUV will be Land Cruiser.

Well ARB discontinued the bumpers for the 4runner so you would have to the tacoma model and fab it up the the frame ends. I don' know where you got the price of $1400 for the bumper, but 4wheelparts has them for $766.99 and one of the promo codes for $10.00 off is "Facebook".

heres what i got 99 clear corners and 99-02 oem headlights much better quality then aftermarket which have not so great light pattern

The Sonoran Steel bumpers are a custom made item that is built for the specific vehicle. Which would require you to drop it off at his place to fab it. The same goes for the Armorolgy bumpers and the bumpers built by BruceTS.

Irbris makes a bumper for the 3rd gen that you can order and they will ship it to you and I believe that CBI just came out with a rear bumper. Then there's always the Kennesaw rear bumpers but they have horred customer service.

Your best bet maybe to use custom fab one as you mentioned.

That bumper is cool as heck. If you're wanting to make another one for sale, let me know I'd buy one in no time. I'm trying to weed out all of my chrome parts on mine right now. Ordered new front bumper and valance today. Going to paint the bumper same as the 4Runner.

Anyways, thanks for the ideas and names of people who make them for our 4Runners. I'll check them all out and see what I can't come up with. I'll get ahold of that guy my buddy knows this weekend...assuming time is on my side. Later guys.

The best thing I can advise is take a look at the ones you like, show your fab shop and then come up with a combination from all to get "your" bumper.
