New limited owner, a few questions

I have a few questions on my new Limited

1. If I wanted to add running boards, are the holes already drilled?

2. Is regular 87 octane ok to use?

3. How often are you guys changing the oil?

4. What 4x4 setting should I be using for highway use? What about snow?

Hey Susan, Congratulations!!

1) Don't know, I'll let someone else answer that.

2) Yes, 87 is specified.

3) 10K miles, I changed mine at 2.5K to flush new engine though.

4) The Limited has AWD always, so it's good for snow without doing anything. If you get stuck in deep snow or are going offroad in heavy stuff, switch the indicator to (damnit, forgot the label again) 4H, read the manual, it's in there.

The answer should be yes on this one. I took the boards off of mine & sold them to another member who didn't seem to have any problems attaching them.

4H unlocked for highway use and snow. Just leave it there unless you are going to do serious offroading. Does the manual not have a section on this?

I had running boards installed..holes already drilled according to dealer.

87 octane is fine. I actually did a fairly long road trip and tried higher octanes but didn't notice any difference in performance.

I change oil at 5K miles, I think that's what's recommended and that's the frequency for the 2 years free service

Oil changes are recommended at 10k, but still rotate your tires every 5k. Some people still want to change oil every 5k, but it is not necessary with synthetic oil unless you are towing.
