New Maestro Radio Solution

Man, i'm having a brain fart trying to follow all this. I'm trying to see WTF i need to do to connect the original USB plug in the center stack to the back of my Kenwood. I have the AX-TOYUSB part.

I had read elsewhere that the AX-TOYUSB needed to be plugged in somewhere behind the glove box, but this thread suggests it's in the center stack somewhere. Anyone can help clarify for me please??

I can say with 100% certainly that the USB connector is in the center stack of the 2016 and 2017 models. I don’t know about the 2014 (your sig says 2014 so I assume that’s what you are referring to). I ripped apart my entire dash looking behind the glove box before I realized it isn’t there on the 2016/2017 models. If I were in your situation, I’d start in the center stack since you’ll have to pull that apart regardless... if it’s not there, then you’ll get the pleasure of ripping open the area behind the glove box.

I have no issues with glare on my Kenwood and I did not spend the extra 200 - 300 for a deck with built in navigation. I just use apple maps with carplay or google maps on my phone.

I'm having trouble getting my TPMS to show up. All the other Maestro features work, any ideas? 2016 Trail

Also, I found the dash kit for Metra that comes in black!

Thanks in advance!

Mine didn't display initially either. It just took a few minutes for it to read the TPMS. I thought about doing the locator procedure where you deflate one tire at a time and rearrange the TPMS on the screen so you know which readout is where. But that sounded like a lot of work and I realized it would get screwed up with the first tire rotation.

Nice find on the black. How does it compare to the OEM dash? Do you have more pictures in sunlight?

TPMS runs off the SIL wiree at the OBD2. Make sure that is hooked up, no other dongle there and wait a little bit.

It looks like an exact match. Will take more pics

SIL is the data wire at the OBD2. The Maestro should have a connector that plugs into the OBD2

Are you getting any information from OBDII?
On mine I had another OBDII device hardwired in to had to configure the OBDII setting on the Maestro. Default (Auto) it will disable when it senses another device. If you leave something plugged in all the time this won't work, and you'll have to change the setting to Enabled, forcing it to receive data simultaneously with the other device.
