New Mag Gray TE on its way!!!

After much back and forth I finally pulled the trigger on a magnetic gray TE with KDSS! Pretty excited. Worked aftermarket leather and heated seats into the deal to keep the wife happy 

It is being transferred to my dealer now and I should be able to pick it up Friday. There are so few TE’s in the Midwest so I jumped on the only one that was in a color I liked.

Now I have to talk to discount tire and see what deal I can work to get some decent tires on it….

Could you expand on the leather seats option? Will that be installed by your dealer or was it a port installed option? If you don't mind, could you share the cost of the option? Thanks!

It will be installed at the dealer by a 3rd party auto accessory company local here. Opted for katskin upgraded "Tuscany" leather.

I am quite excited! Trading a nice 5-series BMW wagon to get it but as nice as that car is I am looking forward to having more space, capability, and reliability of a 4-runner again!

I have missed my 03 runner since i sold it a few years back...

I hope it all worked out yesterday at the dealer. I'm especially interested in the Katzkin seats. I'm going the TE route as well and would like to see pics of the finished product.

Oh it did work out Showed up and there she was sitting all pretty! Had not seen a mag gray TE in person and I must say it looks amazing!

I am getting the leather installed in a week or so and also putting on some 285's. I think I am going to hold out and post some pics after I get that work done.

The only other items I am looking at doing are some front leveling spacers and some sliders... Then I should be good. At least for a while... Good thing my 3y year old is growing like a weed. It is much more challenging to get into for him then our last vehicle...

Just completed my first mod! Ok, I guess you can't count the minute it took to adjust the inner fender to make room for 285's as an official mod

285/70/17 Revo 2's on order Should be in sometime this week! I will post up some pictures when they are on.

Yeah technically it is a "mod" but it was sooooo damn easy! I went out to the garage ready do do some sort of battle as these things usually turn into more work then you thought... But I bent down, saw the offending fastener, unscrewed it, moved the fender wall a bit forward so it came closer to the windshield washer tank, and then screwed it back in... Done... I had to wander around the garage admiring my truck for a little while just to make the trip out to the garage worth it!

Funny thing was that when i told the guy at discount tire that I wanted to go with the revo's he cautioned against them and was like "you do know that is a more agressive tire" and i told him that that was the point Those stock tires neuter the trucks look...

Hey thanks! It looks amazing in person. I have not seen a pic that does the color justice yet. Picked her up on a sunny day and it sparkled real nice.

Now i have to go get it dirty!

Just set up the appointment to get my heated leather seats in stalled next Monday!!! Yay!
