Got me tires installed today. it looks bad ass.

yeah, its damn sexy.
all it took is a little effort and a lot of elbow grease. it looks better than i though it could. im proud of her, except for the mileage. i can literally watch the fuel gauge drop.
 
Are those the KM2's?

How bad is your mileage?

I can't decide if I wanna go with mud tires for the looks and sacrafice a lot of MPG and handling or go with ATs and get a little better MPG and handling.




They look good. Just need to be cleaned up a little.
 
I think that if you go with the mudders go with a 255/ 85 to be a little narrower and save a little mileage. still get a 33" tire but only 10" instead of 11.5" .. By the photos those are the original mud terrains and not the KM2's
 
i agree, if i had to buy them new i would go that route, plus i love the km2's. but had a killer offer so i took it up.
i really cant believe the difference just tires make. im still stoked, but im scared to see the actual mileage.

Your going to have trouble getting accurate mileage. Because of the bigger tires, your odometer is going to be off so you can't use your trip to figure out your mileage without getting your odometer and speedometer re-calibrated.

Ive got pretty much the same setup, and my speedometer is roughly 10% slower than actual speed. So for you math dropouts, 60mph showing on speedometer is really 66 mph on the radar. Use a GPS and youll see what i mean. I dont find it necessary to recalibrate, i just keep that in mind so i dont speed & when i calculate time to change oil, etc

Yeah I wasn't suggesting that the OP recalibrate, nor do I plan to. Just reminding that it will be difficult to measure fuel consumption, and not do judge your MPG off of your ODO anymore as it will not be accurate.

i havent tried to figure an accurate mileage yet, but its sucking down gas.
haha, oh well. its too much fun to drive now.
