New Member and a slight new problem

Hi All,
After 3 weeks of trying to track down an affordable used 4runner. I have finally gotten into a 2005 SR5 4x4 (Black), with 29,500 miles on it.

Aside from the expected slight scratches and nicks. I am missing a part from my hood rack that doesn't excessively stick it out...but I know it's there and it annoys me.

I am missing one of the covers for the luggage rack foot (see parts 5 and 6 on the diagram below). I need to know the quickest possible way to get one of these. Should I just go the dealership? Any suggestions?

Yep, go to the dealership. You''ll never find a part like this anywhere else, unless you get incredibly lucky and find it in a salvage yard. It won't be all that expensive from the dealership.

Sounds like a nice truck. I would try ebay and then the dealership if you can't find one on ebay.

How much did you pay for the 4R if you don't mind me asking? Does it have leather or sunroof?

How do these things attach? I was thinking of removing mine so I could paint the roof rack. I'm guessing it just snaps on, but knowing where the tabs are would help me a lot.

My truck didn't have one on it when I got home from the dealership, so they ordered it an installed it for me. It just snapped right on, no bolts or anything.

The dealership I went to is trying to charge me $72 for that little piece....I called B.S. on the guy and walked out. I need one bad and I will not pay $72 for that piece, that's ridiculous.

Did you check partznet like was suggested?

You won't find it cheaper than there so if it is still too much money then it is buy used or live with it.
