New member and first question

Hi Everyone - great site, so glad I stumbled upon it. Since everyone is so helpful, I'm hoping for some assistance on my first Runner question.

I am getting ready to sell my Mercedez and purchase an 04 Limited 4Runner - really excited to return to the Toyota family!

My question is:

The dealer has offered to install the Lexus Nav system for the same price as the Toyota factory system since I want a DVD player as well. I am wondering if they really are doing me a favor or are they just making it appear so?

I saw all the posts about installing our own Nav system, but we just don't have the time to put into installing it ourselves.

Any help or suggestions on this is appreciated - thank you in advance!

Welcome to the board! "Doing you a favor" is relevant to how much extra they're going to charge you for the Lexus NAV system, and how badly you want it. If the additional cost is reasonable and you like the unit, then by all means, have them do it. (you might want to have them demo a lexus unit for you so you can play before you pay and have them guarantee that all features will work as they should)
