New Member and New 4Runner!

Just wanted to check in with my 4R bredren! Got a 15 LTD and super excited to start the fun...a couple of pics to show it offeace:and yes they are crappy pics but I do plan on many, many more!

I did have a question about the Limited vs other models and the mods being done. I would like to upgrade the rims, lift, shocks and so on, but I am curious about the air shocks and a lift kit for this thing. Is there any thing I should know regarding the LTD as far as altering this thing? I don't want to sound ignorant and I can search the site so if I am asking questions that have been asked over and over, don't razz me to much...any info would be much appreciated! Great to be here!

Do you have KDSS or no?

KDSS might have some issues in some cases with skids, bumpers or shocks. No KDSS and that should be fine.

There might be some issue with the rocker panels and getting rock sliders... If you get them be sure to indicate you have a limited or call the company and ask about it.

KDSS huh? I am not sure and I hate that! LOL, how would one tell if I do have this KDSS? I love the Warthog hog and one day I will grow up to be just like it!! Thanks for the info

LTD doesnt come with KDSS. i believe [MENTION=107119]2014 Warthog[/MENTION] means XREAS. there are a bunch of threads out there about how to remove the XREAS if you want to install a lift and what not. start searching and get your feet wet in the 5th gen forums. but watch out you might catch the mod bug and not even know it.:lol:

Ooops, sorry... Forgot about that :frusty:

With XREAS you can't do too much to the suspension before you have to remove it. So I'd go slow and research on that before making that decision. Once it's removed, reinstalling isn't really practical (Without ridiculous expense).

For other things like sliders and skids, there are ones that work with XREAS fine but always check, some don't.
