New Member and Owner - Towing question

I just bought an 06 XSP with 17K miles. I love the truck so far.

I want to do the mesh grille and tint the head and taillights and do HID beams, but other than that I'll just leave it stock. I installed a hitch last week. I plan on towing a 19' boat, 2350 lbs dry, probably another 500 for the trailer. Should I tow in 4th or leave it in Drive? Any other towing or general advice? Thanks!

My boat/trailer combo is about 4500#. I only use Drive if I am on real flat land or downhill. This is probably overkill as I have learned these things pull like a mule and are built like a tank.
