Hey everyone-
I've had my 4runner for about two weeks now and i am loving it. I got a 2005 Limited V8 with NAV and Xreas. I had an Audi wagon before this but I have owned a 2000 4Runner Sport and a 1996 Tacoma in the past. I have a question about wheels though. I had a set of 17X9 Weld Evo Velocity 6 lookalike wheels installed with the 265/70/17 BFG AT's and the truck looked awesome(see pics), but the rubbing was really bad. I need the tires for snow traction and trips to Moab, etc. I don't thing the wheels had enough back spacing in combination with being to wide. The tire shop was great and they took the wheels back and reinstalled the stock wheels with the new tires. I am curious if any one has had the genuine Weld Evo Velocity 6's installed in the 17X8.5" with 265/70/17 tires. The wheels have 5.13" of backspacing, and I think this may be to much. Any input would be appreciated. I don't want to lift the truck as it is primarily a work vehicle used to take clients around. I also don't want to lose the mud flaps as the truck is black. Thanks in advance for any input. I posted on yotatech about a week ago, but they don't have a lot of 4th gens there. This is a much better forum for the newer trucks, I glad i found it. -Lincoln
P.S. anyone interested in the stock Michelin Cross Terrains? They have about 600 miles on them and I have no use for them.
