Hello All,

Have owned Toyotas since the early 70's and never had any major problems with
any of them. Definately the top of the vehicle chain specially the T4R's.

Recently traded in my 98 4R for the 06Sports Edition.
I'm not crazy about the bars instead of a normal running board.

So, i'm looking for 2 things -

1. A rock deflector (my dealer sold me one but it didnt fit the sports edition).

2. A set of the flat running boards, preferably lighted, over or under or both).

A search here found some interesting topics on running boards but nothing
about 2006 boards.... Havent had much luck with searching the web either.
Hoping for better luck with more eyes on the lookout.

I love my T4R (and all the others i have had in the past).

Will post a pic of my stock (for now) t4r tomorrow.

I do have 2 small gripes.

The smoky chrome is a bear to keep clean,
and will shows every smudge.

The paint job seems to be really thin as
compared to previous models.

Initial post: No replies (or parts dont exist)?

You can buy new OEM running boards from partznet.com. They should be the cheapest around.

Or you can post to make a trade: your tubes for their boards. Many people have taken their boards of or replaced them with something else.

Interesting!. I looked at that site and for
the sports edition the running boards
range from $152 through $431 but if you
look at the pic, all the boards are the same
model!

When i get the new pair, will i also need new
mounting hardware and will the new ones
use the same mounting holes. Guess i'm
asking if i need to watch out for any
additional needs or problems?

I wouldnt have a problem with selling my
bars at a reasonable price once i have the
new ones mounted.

I'll trade ya my black '03 Running boards for yours - will include all brackets and bolts. Low 14k miles and no off roading yet. Located in No. VA.

What did you search for? I cant seem to find the 2006 running boards on partznet.com

I have black boards on my 06 i am looking for bars instead. prefer chrome to match other things i am fixing to purchase.

I have an '03 sport with the flat black running boards and would trade for the '06 tubes in a heartbeat. They look ALOT better IMO. Mine is 2WD so no off-roading here.
