Hi Everyone!
My name is Tommy from Orange County, CA. I'll be picking up my first 4Runner in the next few weeks, and can't wait to get excited on a new project.
My background is actually surrounded by Fords. My father & uncles all had/have Mustangs and I've grown up racing them. My current car is a Supercharged 2006 Mustang GT making 462rwhp/465rwtq. It's a brutally fast car, but is going to get retired from daily driving duties this spring...

My fiance and I decided this year that before the wedding we need to pick up a mid-sized SUV since we're always borrowing her sister's truck (A '99 4Runner Limited). Before the Mustang I had a Jeep Cherokee, and we decided to look for one. I'm not a Jeep fanboy or anything, but it was a strong, reliable, and rugged truck that could take a lickin' off road and get me home every time. I also know the reputation of the 4Runners, but they tend to be priced a bit higher, so we weren't really looking at them.
Then a turn of fate... My boss, who owns a '97 SR5 4x4 was looking to sell fast since his pregnant wife wanted something bigger & newer for their growing family. Since I was willing to take it immediately, and he wouldn't have to deal with the private selling process or get raped by the dealer... he's giving me a VERY good deal on it. I'm pretty much stealing it from him. They're looking at Sequoia's this weekend, and as soon as they have the new car in hand, I'll be taking delivery of his 4Runner. Probably 3 weeks or so.:hungry::hungry:
