Hey there, my wife has been a 4runner driver her whole life and we've been together since about the time she could drive. Her first car was a 1998 4runner and in 2010 she traded it in for a 2007 4runner limited with the v6 engine. I've always been a car driver but she recently decided she wanted a Subaru BRZ so I traded in my car and took her 4runner since I thought it'd be practical to keep it. I didn't drive it much when she had it except when we needed to pull a trailer but I've been driving it now the past three weeks and I love it.
I've been lurking around on the forums for a couple weeks now and gained a wealth of information. I learned how to replace the lightbulbs in the a/c controls that she said have been out for months now. Toyota wanted to charge a few hundred dollars to do it but with the help of this forum I was able to do it for 30$.
I will be receiving a new headunit (Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX), a backup camera, and a replacement for the rear hatch button this week and I am pretty confident that I'll be able to install them with little difficulty. I'm finally joining so I can ask questions about things I have interest in doing but have had no luck in finding with my searches.
