new member from socal!

hey everyone! I just recently became a proud owner of a new (to me) 03 4runner. I picked it up at a local used car dealership. I believe it is the base model in terms of options (it has the SR5 package), but it does have the V8 and the 4WD. I look forward to familiarizing myself with this truck and getting to know people in the 4runner community. Before this truck, I daily drove a 93 Supra that has served me well the past four years in terms of reliability. Now that it's been having problems lately and is on its last legs and is nearing 200k miles, I figured I would search for something newer and more comfortable to drive daily that has the same legendary reliability and that's where the 4runner comes in! I also have big plans for the Supra and needed a daily driven vehicle in my stable so I can put those plans into action.

I don't have much planned out for this truck other than to keep it in tip-top shape for my daily commute, but I am definitely looking forward to going on some trails once in a while and maybe putting the tow hitch to use every now and then!

hey boxtree good to have you in the 619! joined T4R recently myself but been lurking for years these guys have loads of awesome info and experience.. Im in the military so my hours are a bit rough but if you ever wanna meet up and find some place to go wheelin' let me know!

Nice! What part of the 619 are you from? I'm down in Chula Vista, but I'm up in La Jolla during the day. Any 4runner meets happen in this area by any chance?

Took this one myself after SD Supras had a meet over at Toyota San Diego. Only saw one 4runner that was part of the meet (it was a Toyota/Scion event with a couple Lexus folks sprinkled in the mix), but there were quite a few Tundras and Tacomas, both of the lifted and of the lowered/slammed variety.

That supra is one of my dream cars. I just had an argument about this car. Someone was trying to tell a built Supra would not take the new Lambo. I was are you kidding me. That thing would kill a Lambo all day long.
